Hello All Racers and Fans,
This is to inform all of the racers attending the St Clair race as what is to be expected of them. NO EXCEPTIONS! Everyone must have their own GPS to run in OPA. Your unit will be serialized to our software so that there will be no having to read multiple races. Frank Vecce has stepped up to the plate to read all of the OPA GPS' for the rest of the 2007 season. This duty is very time consuming. Frank will be supplying the Head OPA scorer, Tony Potthoff, the data needed for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishers. So would all racers that have finished in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place, please make sure you turn in your GPS to a place that we assign. This place for GPS drop off will be announced at the drivers meeting. Also, It is your responsibility to pick up your GPS from Frank at the awards ceremony. Anyone who does not pick up their unit will be charged a $50.00 holding fee. THE ONLY CLASSES THAT NEED GPS' ARE CLASS 100 TO CLASS 600. We will be at the registration area from 3pm to 4 pm FRIDAY ONLY, to check your units. Please stop in at this hour if you need to verify your unit is working. Also, you are responsible for all charging and proper connections. WE ONLY WANT THE J2 TRACKING UNIT TO READ, NOTHING ELSE! Thank you for your attention on this.
PHYSICALS:
Please have a COPY of your physical to give to registration for their files. If you have one from last year that is a 2 year cert, COPY IT! All CDL's are good for 2 years if stated on the certificate. I have noticed that some are only good for a year! YOU MUST SUPPLY registration with the copy for their files. If you raced in another organization, IT IS YOU RESPONSIBILITY TO GET A COPY FOR OPA. NO EXCEPTIONS. No physical certs, no racing!
DUNKER/SWIM CERTS:
Please provide registration with a copy of the dunker cert (for canopy boats), and/or a swim test (open boats). There will be availability for dunker and swim tests on Saturday from 9-1 pm only. Any PROBLEMS will have to be addressed with Andy directly at 586-242-0673. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET A COPY TO OPA. NO EXCEPTIONS!
TESTING:
NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TEST UNLESS THEY ARE REGISTERED AND HAVE ALL OF THE PHYSICAL AND DUNKER/SWIM CERTS GIVEN TO REGISTRATION. REGISTRATION IS ONLY 3 HOURS ON FRIDAY FROM 12PM-3PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9-2PM. SO PLEASE BE PREPARED! THANK YOU, OPA |
