OPA Racing postpones the 2024 Miami Offshore Grand Prix

09/17/24

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

OPA Racing has announced the postponement of the highly anticipated 2024 Miami Offshore Grand Prix, originally scheduled for October 4th, 2024. The event will now be held in 2025, with the exact date to be confirmed later this month.

The decision to postpone was made after careful consideration by the OPA team. With the date shifting from September to October and the increasing congestion of late-season schedules, it became clear that holding the event in 2024 would not do justice to the prestigious Miami location. Or meet the high standards that participants, sponsors and fans have come to expect.

The National Championships are being moved to the Englewood Beach Waterfest. Set to take place on Saturday, day one, of the two day event. The first day of racing will conclude the National Points Championship. And still count towards the overall points of the World Championships.

OPA is actively working on finalizing the new date and will announce it later this month to avoid any confusion as teams and fans plan for the 2025 racing season. "We appreciate the understanding and support of our fans, teams, and sponsors as we make this adjustment," Nick Smith added. "We are confident that the 2025 Miami Offshore Grand Prix will be an unforgettable event, and we look forward to sharing the details very soon."
